Steps to joining the KKAM program:

  1. Complete and submit the application online requesting a grant.
  2. Make sure your homestudy is already in progress. We will need to have a copy on file before dispersing any funds.
  3. KKAM will review the application and contact you via email if eligible for a grant within 7 – 10 days. 
  4. Read over, sign, and send in the Fundraising/Agreement form below to KKAM.
  5. We ask families to join with us in fundraising by sending a support letter to family and friends. (KKAM has a sample letter on the web site to be tailored specifically to each family's adoption journey.)
  6. KKAM will send brochures to the family to go with the support letter, telling about our program. There is a tear off sheet for donors to use with their donations.
  7. Send in your support letter for review.
  8. A fundraising date will be set after the letters are sent out.
  9. KKAM will notify the family after the fundraising date, via email, of the awarded grant amount.
  10. Granted funds will be used to pay for approved adoption expenses only. In certain situations, we will reimburse the family with proper documentation.
  11. Families may contact KKAM after the first grant has been awarded for other grants ranging up to $5000.00 depending on availability of funds.
